What is Mind Yoga and is it the same as meditation? If so then there are some important differences between meditation and yoga. First of all, mind yoga is not about a specific kind of exercise in which you focus only on your mind by way of focusing on your breath or a physical movement. Instead, mind yoga is a spiritual practice in which you learn to meditate and relax your body by focusing on a single point on which your mind will focus.

 

Yoga in particular is about your inner self, the state of consciousness that allows you to experience a state of being in harmony with all things around you, including your body, your emotions and your mind. However, mind yoga does not teach you how to go beyond these states but instead focuses on bringing you closer to them. The goal is to allow you to become relaxed and in sync with the world around you, as well as yourself.

 

Meditation is about discovering your true potential as a human being. Mind yoga teaches you how to discover your inner being through deep breathing techniques. These can range from simply sitting still with your hands clasped together, to performing yoga postures to focus on the entire body. This way, you develop the ability to be in harmony with your surroundings, rather than simply focusing on the physical aspects of the world. When you use mind yoga to control your breathing, you are taking a deeper look at the way you think. This helps you to find what truly matters to you, and therefore how you live your life.
