Benefits of Just Breathing Yoga

For many of us, we have heard the phrase, "just breathe" and we have even seen it. It is very easy to do, but many of us do not get the benefit of doing it. There are a number of benefits to doing it in an effort to meditate and calm our mind. Here are some of them.

One of the benefits of doing "just breathe" yoga is to learn to breathe consciously. Our thoughts are always racing about us. They are always in a hurry to get something done and to make the day go by. This can have a negative impact on our body. When we are not aware of the fact that our thoughts are rushing, we can end up with a headache, sore throat, and the effects of anxiety and depression.

When we do "just breathe," we are aware of all of the time we are breathing. As we move through each breath, we can look at the benefits of breathing in different ways. Our mind is in a peaceful place when our lungs are full. Our body will be relaxed and our thoughts will not be in a rush to make the day go by.

Another benefit of "just breathe" yoga is that we can learn to control our breathing. When we practice, we can develop a certain way that we breath. This can be done by breathing into our nose and holding it for a few seconds, breathing into our stomach, breathing out of our nose, and breathing into our stomach again. When we can control our breathing, we can be sure that our body is in a peaceful place.

A third benefit of "just breathe" yoga is that it helps us to learn to release tension. When we are tense, we are probably not in a very relaxed state. We may be sitting in the same position for the entire day, and we are probably not feeling that we are making the most of our time. When we are practicing "just breathe," we can learn to take control of our breathing and relax.

When we are practicing "just breath," our breathing will be in a relaxed state, but it will also be in a state of alertness. When we learn to be in an alert state, we will be able to make better decisions and we will be able to do better things in life. When we can do better things in life, we can enjoy life more fully.
